Sultan opens annual exhibition of Emirates Fine Arts Society

H. H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated here today evening the 30th annual exhibition of Emirates Fine Arts Society at the Sharjah Museum in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

The event draws 43 artists from the UAE, Arab and foreign countries, among others, Sudan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine, Britain and Italy.

The participants showcase 130 works of art in the areas of drawing, colouring, sculpture, installation art, video art and mobile performance.

Organised by the Emirates Fine Arts Society in cooperation with a number of public institutions and civil societies, the exhibition is a genuine opportunity for the students of Fine Arts to feature their innovative works.

Sheikh Sultan commended the works of art being featured at the exhibition, stressing their role in upgrading the art movement in the UAE. He also lauded the efforts of the Society and participants.
